🧘🏻‍♂️ How to stay in a good rhythm on the golf course
9th hole at the Cerrado del Aguila Golf Course on the Costa del Sol

I'm not the worst golfer, actually, when I play 9 holes I can be pretty decent (occasionally). I can play nine holes level par or pretty close to it, but I often struggle to keep focus for the full 18 holes. I don't believe it's fatigue, more likely psychological.

In reality, when I play nine holes, I put a lot less mental stress on myself to have to score a specific number. I'll play more freely and the score doesn't matter too much to me. It's not a full eighteen, I won't count it for anything, it's just a fun few holes.

I also seem to stay in a better rhythm when I walk versus driving a buggy. I don't know what it is, but walking just puts me in a more focused state, it gives me a bit more time to think about my next shot, I can feel the fairways, see the layout of the course etcetera. Unfortunately a lot of the courses around the South of Spain are quite hilly and walking becomes more like hiking (which I don't mind, but does drain my energy), so I do often end up using a buggy when I play a full round.

In the video below I play nine holes only, with a carry bag, and the result is, well it's not bad:
